They’re an incredibly popular brand with some of the most stylish designs at a great price. With hundreds of great reviews for their headphones it’s hard to go wrong – but what are the best skull candy headphones?

A lot of our headphone reviews in the past have mentioned Skullcandy using them as a gold standard of casual user headphones. Their earbuds were pretty popular as some of the most unique styles around and their headphones are easily among the most popular. They’re well known for the ‘skullcrusher’ range and having some great looking designs on their headphones. Each model has multiple different looks you can choose from and that’s a great feature and I don’t think anyone tops Skullcandy on that level.
So just what are the best Skullcandy headphones? Well honestly I’ve got some problems deciding here. I’ve used a couple of their models myself and I’ve loved all of them. They’re a great brand at a great price and before I started this site when I heard people ask what are the best head phones? I’d pull out my skullcandy pair. Ok, so enough of my fan boy-ism. Being impartial, I’d go with the overall popularity and review feedback I’d say the Skullcandy Skullcrushers are the best Skullcandy headphones if not some of the most popular headphones on the market right now.
So what’s so great about them?
Well first of all we did our review of the best over ear headphones under 50 dollars a while back and these headphones missed the cut by 9 dollars. They’re a great pair of headphones and they easily top the list for quality and certainly style in this price range. On sound quality, these aren’t slackers.
Keeping in mind this range is called the ‘Skullcrushers’ it’s no surprise they have a battery powered adjustable bass amplifier and industry grade sub woofers. That’s right, these headphones pack a punch in a small package and they work great whether they’re hooked into your computer, MP3 player, phone or… well you get the picture.
They use a soft-touch leather cover for their earpads and from personal experience these are comfortable even of 12 hour stretches (yes I work long hours with headphones on). So you’ve got great sou
nd quality, awesome comfort, and a big range of styles to choose from. Is it any wonder these are the best skullcandy headphones and certainly in the running for the best over ear headphones list? They have a damn subwoofer!
And just to prove Skullcandy didn’t send me a free pair to talk their headphones up (although honestly guys if you want to send me a pair I won’t say no) I figured I’d share a few experiences from other people using them themselves. Now very, very few things online have a complete 100% positive review factor and this particular color, the black pinstripe Skullcandy skullcrushers, have (at time of posting) 442 reviews and 4/5 stars which is pretty damn good. Skullcandy has some great reviews behind them and this model probably gets the best reviews of all their models, quite easily some of the best Skullcandy headphones.
